We are looking forward to the release of our new album "SO FAR, SO GOOD..." which should be out mid June. This journey has seen a number false starts, high points, heartaches, soul searching and personal reflection which is to be expected when you are trying to write/record music that you believe in. We have always thrived on live performance and hopefully we have managed to show the power of our live performance alongside some of the other aspects that this band has to offer.

We hope you buy it and eventually add it to the list of your favourite albums.

June News Update 2015

Rog has returned from two very successful concerts in Copenhagen with Danish band Grape, playing BJ songs which were very well received by the Danish audiences, with possible plans for a return in the future for further dates.

Just wanted to thank the audiences at Colchester "Soundhouse" and Cambridge Rock "Springfest" for giving us such a warm reception and it was pleasure to meet up again with Del Bromham (Stray).

Sadly Rob Seales is no longer with the band, but we really want thank him for his musicianship and help during the last few years. Richard Young has returned from Scotland and plans are in place to work on new material for a new album (no date set yet!)

The band is looking forward to the next month with gigs in Spain 13th June (with ED and the "nutters" from RRE), 20th June Broad Farm Bike Rally in Norfolk and 27th June Walthamstock Festival, Essex.

Back with gigs in August at the very special Blakeney Harbour Rooms and our old friends at The Brickmakers Norwich.

Hope you all have a great Summer!!

March News Update 2015

Well how about this, BJ are heading for our first show of 2015 and we can't think of a better way to kick it off than by playing for some of the biggest Rock 'n' Roll party animals in the UK, at The Legends of Rock weekender next weekend 5th - 8th March 2015 at the Vauxhall Holiday centre in Great Yarmouth.  You can catch us on the main stage Sunday night where we will be "fired up" and ready to party. If you have never been to one of these events you are missing a treat if you enjoy Rock and Blues, because there is something for everyone from Thursday night to early hours of Monday morning. If you can't be there every day, just get there when you can, you will not be disappointed!  Hope to see you there?

BJ

February News Update 2015

High folks, Just some information regarding the upcoming Aquarium gig 19th December.  Entry is free by invitation only, so you need to contact the Band through this website or Facebook and give us your name for the door list.  5 bands playing that night, so not bad for free!

October News Update 2014

We have just had two great gigs at Legends of Rock Originals in Gt. Yarmouth.

The people, bands and atmosphere were amazing and so many kind words about the band.

The band would just like to say thank you to Ed/Elaine and all the gang for making it a very special weekend and it was great to meet so many musicians and fans under on roof, mingling side by side.

Coming up we have Oulton Broad with Strange Tail, Blakeney Harbour Rooms with Lexie Green, California and Colchester, then the Derby Demolition in December with many of the faces from Legends.  We are ready........................!

Don't forget the other date, 19th Aquarium.

September News Update 2014

Just to let the people know who purchased the blank CD's at Reepham and Cambridge, we now have them with music on!  A number of CD's have already been exchanged for the people who contacted the website.

If you have a blank CD and bring it to a gig we will gladly exchange it for you.

August News Update 2014

"The band would like to thank all the people who made yesterday very special at Reepham and Cambridge Rock Festivals and for the great reception we received at both. It was great to meet with many of you after each show.

One huge apology,

It has come to our attention that a number of the new Sweet Thing CD's that were received only yesterday morning, direct from the pressing plant, may have a problem but we were unable to check them before the shows. We now know the number of CD's we sold yesterday and you have our assurance that we will put things right as soon as we can indentify and rectify the pressing problems.

When we sort out perfect replacements, we will need contact details from all those people that bought the CD yesterday. We can only apologise and please bear with us."

Love BJ

June News Update 2014

We will be "off the road" for a while for Rob Seales to recuperate from his operation to his left hand (you never know it might improve his playing!) and hope he is fully fit by 25th July at The Brickmakers.

We are looking forward to August 9th when we once again return to our good friends at Reepham Festival in Norfolk in the afternoon with Big Country and a hasty dash down to finish the night at Cambridge Rock Festival on the Blues Stage at 11pm. We will be joined for both gigs  by our good mate Rich Young (Dick to us) all the way from Scotland on keyboards so expect some fun................ as we will be ready to kick some a**.

Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce that we will be appearing at The Legends of Rock Originals at Vauxhall Holiday Park, Gt. Yarmouth on both Thursday 16th October and again on Saturday 18th.

If you have never been to one of these events you should get tickets, because it is an "experience" not to be missed and some of the best music you will ever see in one place. Check out their website to see the great bands that will be on over the 4 days.
